About Dr. Spierings: Dr. Egilius L.H. Spierings, MD, PhD is a neurologist with specialty training in the diagnosis and treatment of headache and face pain, as well as a pharmacologist with extensive experience in the development of migraine medications.
He has held academic appointments at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Tufts University Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine. He is currently the Medical Director of the Greater Boston Headache Center and MedVadis Research at Boston Advanced Medicine in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Dr. Spierings wrote Headaches: Why You Have Them, What You Can Do About Them for people affected by headache, particularly intense headache such as migraine, while keeping it accessible for both patients and healthcare professionals.
